This is my blog where I jot down my thoughts about things that are going on. I was previously at National Treasury, where I did a bunch of things including write budget speeches for Tito Mboweni and financial sector reform. I then looked after the Western Cape provincial budget. Nowadays, I live between Cape Town and Joburg, working as a consultant.

Roy was chief director of financial markets at the National Treasury and speechwriter to Tito Mboweni. He has a PhD in Economics from Stellenbosch University. He writes in his personal capacity.
